Help to Grow: Digital could boost the UK economy by £3 billion

The Government’s Help to Grow: Digital scheme is designed to help small businesses access the tools they need so that they can focus on what they do best: growing the economy. As the scheme is currently designed:

OVER 750,000 SMALL BUSINESSES WILL BE LOCKED OUT FROM ACCESSING THE SCHEME IN ITS CURRENT FORM

SMALL BUSINESSES MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 EMPLOYEES TO BE ELIGIBLE

Widening the range of software available under the scheme would result in an additional £1.9 billion boost to the economy.

Expanding the software available and the employee threshold would boost the economy by £2.95 billion.
